While I Was Out...

Our Giant Baby Boy

After weeks of anxious waiting, the day of the Level 2 Ultrasound finally arrived. I had so much fun seeing the baby wiggle around at the last ultrasound, I could hardly wait to see him again and make sure everything was alright and for Frank to meet him as well. Oh, and I really really really wanted to know if he was a boy or girl. And, as I posted before, he is a healthy baby boy! The ultrasound went great. He is actually measuring a week bigger than my EDD, but they are not going to change my due date. They will do another ultrasound at 8 months to check dates, but its probably just that he is going to be a very big boy. Frank and I are not large people, but the baby's paternal Grandfather was a rather tall gentleman. I am happy to have a big boy, except for I kind of want my doctor to take a look at the size of my boyfriend's head so he can seriously think about what our delivery options should be.

I also had my regular monthly appointment with my doctor yesterday, and everything continues to be normal. I can only hope the rest of the pregnancy remains this unremarkable and healthy.

And now we can do some fun stuff like think about baby names!! My Grandma has already joined in in the fun. She has been sending list of names daily for us to consider. Most of them are baseball players and now she has started in on the race car drivers. With her love of NASCAR, I am surprised that it took this long to get the driver name suggestions. I thought the first names that would pop into her head would surely be "Jeff," "Gordon," or "Dale."

Finally, here are the pics from the ultrasound. Someday my boy will be less than thrilled that his fetal junk has been on display on the interwebz for all to see, but its just my first maternal humiliation in a long line of many that are sure to come!

We find the sex out on Wednesday!! I am sooo freaking excited to finally know!! I just hope the baby cooperates and shows us the goods, otherwise we are going to have our first words.

Ok, people, I think we are finally making some progress here! I can still get away with not looking pregnant most of the time. I did finally break down and buy some maternity pants and they are SO FREAKING COMFORTABLE. I swear I am never going back to button and zippers ever again. And everyone is jealous of my mom pants because I get to wear them all through the holidays! Yee-haw, bring on the turkey!!
