Bump Watch, Week 18

Ok, people, I think we are finally making some progress here! I can still get away with not looking pregnant most of the time. I did finally break down and buy some maternity pants and they are SO FREAKING COMFORTABLE. I swear I am never going back to button and zippers ever again. And everyone is jealous of my mom pants because I get to wear them all through the holidays! Yee-haw, bring on the turkey!!

Wee-Wonk Waves "Hi" To All!

Here are the images from my first ultrasound at 12 weeks. The tech was very good and managed to get some excellent pictures of the baby, despite all the cartwheels and jumping jacks s/he was doing (the baby, not the tech). These scanned images really don't do the actual pictures justice, but you can see the baby blobiness in there. I also go to see and hear the baby's heartbeat, which was really amazing. I wasn't expecting the baby to look so baby-like and be so active. In fact, I wasn't really prepared to see him/her at all. Up until the very second the tech put the probe on my tummy and the baby popped up on screen, I was insisting to her that there was probably nothing there, I didn't feel pregnant, so it was probably all in my head, yadda yadda yadda...then BOOM. Hello, Fetus! So unless she was using some fancy-schmancy Hollywood-Suri-Cruise-Seeing Baby Machine, I am almost positive that I am hosting a child. And the little guy is such a little camera hog already. See the pic where s/he is waving at me? Jeez, take it down a notch, kid! I am pretty sure I am going to have to become one of those crazy stage moms now.

First Trimester- DUNZO!

Yeah! I have completed the first of the Tri-Hurdles, the first trimester. Now I am on my second trimester, which is supposed to be the "Fun Trimester." Truth be told, except for the debilitating exhaustion, the first trimester wasn't that bad. I never had morning sickness or much nausea. And my appetite was just fine. There weren't really too many things that grossed me out that I sued to like, it was more like there were things that I didn't want to eat, and other things that just hit the spot. But even then, not in the extremes. Now that I am on the the Funmester, I have slowly getting some energy back, and feeling more like my normal self. If I could only get people to stop telling me so gleefully how much weight I am going to gain and/or how fat I am going to get, things would feel almost normal!

Baby Bump - M.I.A

So the last pics I posted of my belly I was about 10 weeks. I am now 14 weeks and officially done with my First Trimester and embarking on Trimester Numero Dos (whoo-hoo!!!). And by the looks of it, no more preggo than a month ago. Blast!
